A Therapist’s Guide to Healing: Your Blueprint for Wellness

Welcome to the Temple of Wellness!

In the bustling cacophony of modern life, we often find ourselves pulled in countless directions, prioritizing productivity over well-being and neglecting the profound interconnectedness of our mind, body, and spirit. Yet, true vitality and fulfillment emerge when we embrace a holistic approach to healing—one that acknowledges and nurtures the intricate harmony between these three facets of our being.

I am a Social Worker in Ontario and having a very clinical, academic approach to mental health, it was through my own personal struggles of anxiety, depression and repetitive patterns, did I realize that there is so much more to healing than just the mind. Yes, our thoughts can be our own worst enemy at times! But through my journey of healing, the right people entered my life at the right times and became my spiritual mentors, and leaders in what would inspire and shape my clinical and holistic practice as a therapist. This is what has inspired me to start this blog. An all-in-one guide on healing all parts of ourselves- mind, body & spirit and the different strategies and techniques that we can use to start this path of healing, slowing down, and living a life in alignment with your authentic self.

As people, we are extremely complex and not one-dimensional. We have so many feelings that are layered and grown out of experiences, both beautiful and difficult. And all of the experiences that we have all had, have had an impact on our physical being, our brain and emotions, and further, our spirit. But what many people don’t recognize is that our body is blueprint of all of these experiences, our brain will form protective mechanisms as a way to not get hurt again, and our emotions are messengers informing us all of the time of what we like and don’t like. Therefore, healing for me, is not just talking through problems and learning how to change your thought patterns. There is energy in us and around us, that also influence our thoughts and emotions. Like so many ancient civilizations that had higher intelligence than our society does today, my goal here is to guide all of you and provide you with practical & evidence-based strategies, healing products/routines, and of course a personal favourite- the science of the soul, to help you live in alignment and in your higher purpose.

After all, what is life if we are not living our purpose and what makes us happy? How do we begin to leave the “rat race” that we have been raised to be in and live in the moment and joys of what life is all about? How do we start to love who we are and not become who other’s wish us to be? Living an authentic life is freedom. And in this blog, my hope is that you all find what authenticity means to you and to begin embodying it in your everyday lives.
